The Town of Englehart is seeking an energetic and community‑focused individual to support the development and delivery of recreation and community programs. The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong commitment to public service. In this role, you will oversee the recreation, leisure and heritage assets and help foster active living, community engagement, and inclusive participation through a variety of programs and events.
The position supervises
seasonal staff for all programs and assists in recruiting, training, and
oversight of volunteers. The position acts as secretary and support for committees
as assigned.
Hours of Work
- 35 hours per week (some evenings and weekends)
- Must attend evening council meetings and committee meetings as assigned
Annual Salary
- 2026 rate - $69,713-$82,015
- OMERS pension plan and group benefit package
Qualifications
- A Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Recreation, Community or Sociology is an asset
- A minimum of one to three (1-3) years of progressive relevant experience
- Work experience in a Municipality is preferred
- Work experience in a staff/supervisory role is preferred
- Proficiency in report writing, proposal/grant applications as well as knowledge of available resources and funding programs is an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other software tools
