Your role at a glance
As an Industrial Mechanic/Electromechanic, you will work in close collaboration with our technical and operational team, following a management philosophy based on teamwork, innovation, respect, safety and passion for what we do. Your role will be to maintain, service and repair our stationary equipment to ensure the smooth running of the plant, as well as the machining system for the pump trucks on site. The incumbent will have the opportunity to develop his or her expertise by carrying out a variety of activities related to his or her know-how.
Role & Responsibilities
- Update and execute the preventive maintenance plan for all plant manufacturing equipment and pumping systems, and monitor the quality system in place;
- Inspect machinery and electromechanical systems, diagnose and locate faults (troubleshooting) and replace defective parts/perform equipment repairs;
- Assess the extent of repairs required and plan the necessary response time;
- Respond to maintenance-related production problems and play an active role in resolving them;
- Install and maintain power transmission systems and programmable controllers;
- Assemble, install and maintain new mechanical equipment as required (progressive cavity pumps, fans, tanks, etc.);
- Keep up-to-date records of maintenance, repairs and parts used;
- Replace or refurbish components required for machine maintenance and/or order parts from suppliers, as required;
- Maintain a safe and clean work area;
- Participate, in collaboration with supervisors, in the weekly inventory of parts and equipment needed to keep the site running smoothly;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Job requirements
- Hold a vocational diploma in industrial maintenance, electromechanics for automated systems, or in an equivalent or related field;
- 3 to 5 years significant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, particularly in process engineering;
- An understanding of industrial steam systems;
- Good knowledge of lockout principles;
- Knowledge of PLC and variable speed drive systems (SIEMENS);
- Hold a valid class 5 driver's license (automobiles);
- Certificate in equipment connection (an asset);
- Knowledge of welding techniques (an asset);
- Be able to use and work with Microsoft Office suite software (Excel, Teams, etc.);
- No legal impediments related to employment.
