The Teck Centennial Public Library is seeking a
CHILDREN’S LIBRARIAN
Permanent / Part-time
Position Overview:
- Under the direction of the CEO / Librarian, the Children’s Librarian will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the children’s programming and material selection and maintenance for the department to persons of all ages, with a focus on children ages birth through early teens.
- Hours of work: Varies, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings
- Compensation: $25.61 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Has a post-secondary diploma or degree in library studies, early childhood education, elementary education, or any field of humanities or social sciences with a relevant career interest.
- Experience working with children and tweens
- Experience planning, implementing and evaluating programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Good working knowledge of computers.
- Organization and time management
- Clear vulnerable sector check.
