Child Care Assistant
Temporary Full Time until return of employee
Qualifications
● High School Diploma
● Current CPR/First Aid certificate
● Current and cleared vulnerable sector check within 6 months.
● Able to work between the hours of 7:00AM and 3:30PM Monday to Friday and
occasionally evenings and weekends for training and staff meetings.
● 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
● Assisting the Registered Early Childhood Educator in coordinating and the
implementation of your assigned program, including planning, preparing and facilitating
all activities.
● Providing a creative, stimulating and safe environment for children.
● Maintaining child/adult ratios.
● Assist with supervising any volunteers or placement students.
● Assist the supervisor with any responsibilities related to the centre as requested by the
supervisor.
Position type: Assistant Temporary Full Time until return of employee
Start date: Tuesday April 7, 2026
Starting Wage: $19.60/hr 37.5 hrs a week
