SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The incumbent supports student mental health and well-being by providing social-emotional supports in culturally responsive ways. The Child and Youth Worker will work closely with school staff to support student skill building in
areas such as identifying and managing emotions, stress management, relationship skills, enhancing self-awareness/sense of identity and problem solving. The Child and Youth Worker empowers students towards positive
change by fostering a sense of belonging and engagement
SALARY:
According to the collective agreement in effect.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• College diploma in Child and Youth Worker Program or Social Work or equivalent in terms of experience andtraining.
The names of three (3) professional references are required, including a current immediate supervisor.
