JOB OPPORTUNITY: REGISTERED KINESIOLOGIST

Lyrette Physiotherapy in Kirkland Lake is looking for a full time Registered Kinesiologist. This position will provide the ideal candidate with valuable experience working with people of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate will:

Conduct comprehensive clinical and functional assessments for patient physical abilities and limitations

Develop therapeutic exercise programs, monitor patient progress and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes

Educate patients on principles of movement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation techniques

Collaborate with the rehab team members on patient care, assist in treating clinician in patient care and return to work planning

Complete employer assessments such as Physical Demands Analysis (PDA), Post Offer Employment Testing (POET); Functional Abilities/Functional Capacity Evaluation (FAE/FCA) to confirm capability of essential job demands

Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes (SOAP format) using electronic software

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient enquiries and concerns promptly and with courtesy

Stay updated on latest research and advancements in kinesiology and related fields

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology

Registered and in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (CKO)

CPR training preferred (training/recertification available)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently without supervision

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and adapt in a fast pace clinical setting

Brings a positive, professional and flexible attitude to work each day

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications

Is fully bilingual in English/French (not required but an asset)

Travel is required to other locations. Holds a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to own vehicle is essential

Salary: $24.00-$30.00 (depending on experience)

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm (may vary depending on the needs of the clinic) – travel in surrounding area required – possible travel within Lyrette Physiotherapy’s serviced area
