MACHINE SHOP MANAGER
Full time
Position Overview: To ensure all jobs are completed as required as per work orders and
are performed by qualified personnel.
Qualifications and Skills
 Permanent 44 hours per week
 Management and supervisory experience an asset
 5 years’ experience and/or Education in a related field
 Ability to perform assigned duties with minimum supervision
 Excellent communication skills (Bilingual-English & French an asset)
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Help to determine where and how jobs will be executed
 Oversee delivery dates to ensure they are met
 Check work orders and stamp “approved by” upon completion
 Gather missing information on work orders and blueprints
 Responsible to double-check parts, work orders and enter any differences
 Plan and coordinate shift, shift change, vacation schedules with production manager
 Supervise and train employees on equipment usage and operating procedures
 Enforce health and safety rules under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety
Regulations
