Early Childhood Educator – Registered

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

• Development and implementation of child-care programs that encourage physical, cognitive, emotional and social development

• Provide a safe and stimulating environment that promotes creativity

• Have the ability to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents/guardians

• Observation of children to ensure early intervention of supports if required, and preparation of reports for parents, guardians or supervisors

• Provide supervision to children while conducting outdoor physical activities and field trips

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators

• Current First Aid/CPR Certification

• Clean Vulnerable Sector Check

• Ability to adapt to changes in working environments and be flexible

• Enjoys being outdoors and participating in physical activity

v $26/hr + RRSP + health benefits, clothing allowance, bonuses, paid training, paid personal days

v Must be available Monday through Friday between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM for scheduled 8-hour shifts, which may be either opening or closing shifts.

v Consistent attendance is essential—if you are unable to commit to a regular weekday schedule, please do not apply
